Top Ten Books People Have Been Telling me That I MUST Read

It’s been forever since my last Top Ten Tuesday. FOREVER. Glad to be back 🙂 Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created  at The Broke and the Bookish.

Top Ten Books People Have Been Telling Me That I MUST Read

in no particular order, all covers link to Goodreads.com

The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay
Since you’ve been gone by Morgan Matson
Under The Never Sky series by Veronica Rossi

The Mortal Instruments serie by Cassandra Claire
Pointe by Brandy Colbert
Something like normal by Trish Doller

And a few books by author friends, that I didn’t have time to read yet, despite the glowing recommendations by many people on the Twitterverse

Behind the Scenes by Dahlia Adler
The Eighth Guardian by Meredith McCardle
Fierce by L.G. Kelso

Which one should I read first out of this list? Any other recommendations?

  1. I’ve heard great things about almost all these books. I started reading Under the Never Sky a while ago (a sample from a compilation) and have it on my Kindle waiting to be finished. I loved what I read so far. So that would be my recommendation.

  2. I would DEFINITELY love it if you read Something Like Normal. I love that book and think it is a little underrated! 🙂 But your list is great. The Mortal Instruments is a fun book and oh boy Elodie……….The Sea of Tranquility is YOUR BOOK You would love it and get it and worship it lol. Get on that stat!!

  3. MASSIVE yes to The Mortal Instruments and the Under the Never Sky series. Both are excellent, you would definitely love both of them. I haven’t read The Sea of Tranquility or Since You’ve Been Gone yet, both of which have been recommended to me too, there just wasn’t enough space on my list for them! Enjoy reading! 🙂

  4. Here’s my opinion:

    1. TMI- I’ve read the first five books and for me the series was okay. It wasn’t bad but didn’t wow me either. There are times that I felt like Cassandra Clare cheated on me because the series was designed to be a trilogy and because it made a lot of money, she extended it to a six-book series. But what can I do? I’m a series completionist.

    2. Under The Never Sky- One of the most awesome series I’ve read. Love the character relationships, the author’s writing style and the absence of love triangle. If you want to read about a heartwarming platonic friendship then this book is a great way to start
