Basically another week passed that reminded me prioritization is important and that I love spending time with my husband 🙂 If you’re reading this, hubby, I love you!
What´s up Wednesday is the brainchild of Jaime and Erin. It´s a way to keep in touch in just four headings…
What I´m reading
Well…I’m beta reading a WONDERFUL manuscript by Erin. Really, talent runs in this family because both Erin and Jaime are a delight to read. They have different styles but I get so engrossed in their story and their world…loving it.
I’m also reading another non-fiction book, still researching for my novel:
THE SOCIOPATH NEXT DOOR by Martha Stout.
What I’m Writing
One step at a time.
Slowly but surely.
All those apply to my revision…and my goal to revise one chapter a week is getting me there. Thanks Ready. Set. Write! for kicking my butt to sit on the chair.
What else I´ve been up to
Re-learning how to prioritize and…looking forward to our vacations.
What inspires me right now
This. If you haven’t seen it yet, Christa’s work is inspiring and I know I want to help raise funds for this.
The rain.
No, really, the fact that the temperatures cooled down is pretty cool 🙂 That was the view from my office yesterday as the wind slammed against the buildings.

Beta reading.
The memories we’re creating.

I can’t wait to check all your posts and see what you’ve been up to 🙂

Oh wow – that’s kind of a scary view. Reminds me of hurricanes – which that season is upon us.
And I too have been enjoying the time with the family – isn’t it nice?! And I just started Erin’s ms. Well, I sneaked a peek at the first page and if the rest of it is just as awesome (which it sounds like it will be), I’m in for a treat! So excited and so blessed to be reading all these awesome stories! Speaking of – glad RSW has you revising! I’m ready to read whenever you’re ready!
Happy to hear you’re enjoying Erin’s MS. I thoroughly enjoyed it, too! And good for you for making progress on your WIP. It’s so hard when life is busy, but even a bit at a time is great. Which is why it’s kind of sad that I got so little done this past week. You definitely inspire me. 🙂
Have a great time with your hubby and enjoy your vacations!
Lucky you, getting to read manuscripts by Erin and Jaime! That rainy day photo makes me want to curl up on the couch with a good book! I’m about to reassess my priorities too, Elodie. Now that my girl is back in school, I’ve really got to make writing my very first priority. Luckily, I’ve got some extra time on my hands to work with. Best of luck with your goals in the coming week, friend!
Oh gorgeous picture from your office, very cool.
Glad you’re getting there with the WIP, it’s hard to strike a balance.
Enjoy your beat reading and holiday planning 🙂
Thank you so much for your encouraging words about my story, Elodie! I’m so glad (and relieved) that you’re enjoying it! It’s great that your RSW goals are helping you make some good progress. Revising can be so tough, and it’s really hard to gauge how long it’ll take and how much work will be involved. You’re doing awesome! I’m happy you’ve had the chance to spend some time with your hubby too. I’m looking forward to some extra time with mine this coming week as well. Love that picture from your office window! Nothing inspires me like rain! Have a lovely week! 🙂
I love rain in summer for the same reason! Anything that cuts through humidity is my friend 🙂
I’m a big fan of slow and steady 🙂 keep on kicking that revision’s ass!
I love that rainy photo. 🙂 I’m with you on priorities. I’ve been thinking about that over the past week, and I need to make sure I’m making time for the things that are most important to me. I’m on vacation right now, which is helping a lot. Hope this week has started off right for you!
