Welcome back to Ready. Set. WRITE! If you’re wondering what RSW is all about, it’s a summer long writing intensive with the purpose of writing, revising, planning, and keeping each other accountable. We will be sharing our goals on Mondays, keeping our posts BRIEF (2-3 lines per heading) so we can spend more time on writing and less time on blogging. You can sign up at any of the host blogs (Alison‘s,Katy‘s, Erin‘s, Jaime’s) every Monday. And don’t forget to hop around to encourage other participants. HOW I DID ON LAST WEEK’S GOALS
Better than the week before, but I’m still not there.
* I revised 1/2 chapter of DADDY´S LITTLE GIRL
* Added about 1750 words to ONE DREAM ONLY
MY GOAL(S) FOR THIS WEEK
* Revise 2 chapters of DADDY´S LITTLE GIRL
*Â Write 5000 words of ONE DREAM ONLYÂ – the prequel novella of One, Two, Three.
A FAVORITE LINE FROM MY STORYÂ ORÂ ONE WORD/PHRASE THAT SUMS UP WHAT I WROTE/REVISED

Very rough…but here’s a line (ok two sentences) from my YA thriller:
People in our little Texan town love pageants as much as Norman Bates loved his mother in Psycho. Totally unhealthy obsession.
THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE I FACED THIS WEEK
I think this one is going to be my main challenge this month: Making the time to write. I’ve been very busy at work and with some other things.
SOMETHING I LOVE ABOUT MY WIP
About the prequel novella that I’m writing: writing about moments that were just hinted upon in One, Two, Three. Seeing those moments stretched out and fleshed out actually make me love One, Two, Three even more 🙂
You’re doing great! 🙂 I’m writing a sort-of companion novella at the moment, and it’s really fun to dramatise important backstory moments. Glad you’re having fun with it!
I LOVE that line from DLG! And you can do it, Elodie! I know you have a lot going on, but you’ve got this. Also, LOVE the pics! Have a great week!
Loved the line you shared! Even that little bit made me want to read it :). Hope you have a productive week!
Ha! Love the lines you shared. Based on what I’ve heard about Texas pageants, it sounds spot-on. I can’t wait to get my hands on your novella, Elodie. Best of luck finishing it up.
Elodie you are doing great! Congrats on hitting the 1700 words! And revising a chapter. Good luck finishing up your novella!
Your thriller sounds so creepy! Good luck writing and revising this week 🙂
Aw! Cute hugging picture! That tidbit line is so creepy. Keep up the good work!
ooh crazy Texas pageants in a YA thriller. yes Please. God luck this week. Thanks for sharing.
i mean good luck. ow I hate typos
lol, that line is hilarious. And perfect timing since my husband and i just finished watching the first season of Bates Motel! Congrats on moving forward with your revisions and adding to your WIP!
Love the lines you shared, Elodie! Norman Bates is so darn creepy! You did well this week, especially considering how busy you’ve been. I imagine it must be challenging to slip back into drafting and revising mode when you’ve been so busy with getting ONE TWO THREE into the world. But you can totally do it! Hope this is a good week! 😀
That must be so much fun to flesh out those hinted at moments from ONE TWO THREE! I hope the busyness settles down for you and that it will be easier to squeeze in time to write. Good luck with your goals this week, Elodie!
Love your gifs! And I bet it’s fun writing prequels and sequels! Good luck with your goals this week!
I love that line. Good luck with both of your projects! Can’t wait to read them.
I love the line from your wip. It makes me want to read more! Great job for being productive last week. Good luck with all of your goals for this one. 🙂
Great line – I can totally picture the creepy pageant obsession.
Hope you are able to squeeze in some writing time this week!
Time is such a tricky little thing. We all fighting for some. You are still squeezing in time to do revision and write. Hopefully you can achieve your goal this week
also I love that line 🙂
I love the line you shared! I firmly believe Norman Bates references should be worked in whenever possible 🙂
