What I´m reading
I just finished CHILDREN OF LIBERTY by Paullina Simons. I loved her The Bronze Horseman trilogy so I was looking forward to the sequel. While I’m not as enthusiastic (there are times where the pace is a bit problematic in my view, and then the characters weren’t as likable as what I thought they’d be), I’ll still pick up the next one 😉
But now I have the greatest problem of all times, what to read next? I am thinking either an e-ARC (I have ROSE UNDER FIRE waiting for me) or I boutght PREP SCHOOL CONFIDENTIAL. Tough and very different choices. I think I’m going to go for ROSE UNDER FIRE, so I can put a review before its publication.
What I’m Writing
I’m revising. I’m so scared of finishing this revision or not being able to pull through to what I want to achieve in those pages.
But…I’m still moving forward.
What else I´ve been up to
I worked out.
Yes, you read correctly. I’m working out again. It’s about time.
What inspires me right now
I’m going a bit on a decorating spree these days. Including some stuff for the Fall 🙂
But this quote is now hanging by our front door and every single time I look at it, I smile.
Enjoy the little things…
I can’t wait to check all your posts and see what you’ve been up to 🙂

The dilemma of what to read next! I know it well. I don’t have that problem at the moment–my next book to read is sitting on my desk at the moment.
I’m looking forward to being done with revisions. I hope the finished ms will be awesome, but I also have confidence that the merry band of beta readers I assemble will pick it apart and help me make it even better. It seems wrong that I’m looking forward to my novel being ripped to shreds, but I am! 🙂 Keep going–you’ll get there. And I know you have great CPs that’ll help you through.
Have a wonderful week, Elodie, full of joy and inspiration, and lots of words on the page. 🙂
Thanks Colin 🙂 Hope you have a wonderful week as well! I think your MS will be awesome. You seem to bring it to a new level with your revisions 🙂 And you’re right, my CPs will definitely help me through!
Oh, that is a GREAT quote! SO important to remember! And yes – the reading is such a tough thing sometimes. I have probably fifty some books waiting to be read and then silly Alison can’t stop picking more up at the library. Does make the choice easier though – I have to get the library ones back in a timely manner. 🙂
And Elodie, this revision thing – YOU CAN DO IT! And I just know it will be awesome. CAN’T WAIT TO READ GUILTY!!! (I will get to read it, right?!)
I love that quote. 🙂 So true! I had to laugh, because I saw the little sunshine emoticon and was like “I totally did that too!”. I laughed out loud when I saw your note about copying it from my post. Too funny! As for your revision, Elodie, you can totally do it! And remember: my eyeballs are always here when you need/want them. (That sounded grosser than what I was intending. :P) Have a wonderful week, friend!
Aww, love that final quote… What a great reminder! I totally get your fear over your revisions. I feel that same “what if it’s never good enough?” terror often, and it’s no fun. I’m proud of you for pushing through. You are going to rock this revision, friend! ❤
Thanks 🙂 That quote is a definite reminder of slowing down and enjoying the little things. Because a smile, a nice day, a wonderful book, a laugh are those things I’m going to always lean on through tough times 🙂
The “what if it’s never good enough” is pretty much my thought every single time I start on my revision these days.
🙂 but your confidence and kind words definitely help!
I would definitly pick Rose Under Fire! I loved her last book.
Congrats on working out! I’ve been doing quite a bit of it too. Its hard to fit in but its so worth it.
Thanks Valerie! 🙂 I ended up reading two Simone Elkeles books but will pick up ROSE UNDER FIRE now…I know I might end up an emotional mess reading this book.
Enjoying the little things is a great reminder…:-)
That quote is lovely, and in my experience also true! I think I’m experiencing the same thing as you right now. Writing has been a bit frustrating lately, and I’m also worried that I won’t be able to shape the story into what I want it to be. I’m sure we’re both anxious over nothing, and in the end we’ll love the results. Keep pushing through those revisions! 🙂
Love that quote! And yay for working out again. It changes so much. Whenever I stop and start up again, I wonder how I went so long without doing it. Good luck with your revisions–I’m sure they’ll turn out great!

I always have that trouble too when it comes to picking a book. So many to choose from and I have no clue! It takes me ages to decide.

Completely and utterly agree with that quote! 🙂
I have Rose Under Fire on my Kindle too and have been eying it up. Let me know how you like it.
I love that sign. Ugh. It’s so true that you have to stop and enjoy things every once in a while.
Have a great week, Elodie!
