I´ve seen this Top Ten Tuesday feature on Jaime´s blog and thought it looked like fun so I decided to check it out and…here I am 😀 Today is my first Top Ten Tuesday (hosted by The Broke and the Bookish)
The Top Ten Books on My Spring To-Be-Read list…
For this list, I´ll focus on YA titles….Ready? There we go!
I’ll start with the sequels coming out in the Spring which get me all jittery every time I think of them…
-
INSURGENT by Veronica Roth: I cannot wait to know what happens, how will they deal with the guilt, how will they survive? Can love make it in such a place?
-
UNTIL I DIE by Amy Plum: Of course, Kate and Vincent are characters I look forward to hang out with again. Plus it´s in Paris 😀 But I´m also all happy to see some of the secondary characters (waves at Jules)
….now onto books which have been published somewhat long(er) ago but that I still did not come around to read:
- ACROSS THE UNIVERSE by Beth Revis: I´ve seen many good reviews about the sequel and the blurb sounds so appealing.
-
13 REASONS WHY by Jay Asher: This book has been on my radar for awhile (plus Christa keeps on swooning over Jay Asher so it´s got to be good)
-
ANNA DRESSED IN BLOOD by Kendare Blake: I´ve never read that type of YA book while I enjoy them otherwise so I have high expectations 😀
-
ON THE JELLICOE ROAD by Melina Marchetta: I never heard about that one until I read Katy´s review of it. Since Katy is always spot on for books I will enjoy, I knew I had to put this one higher on my TBR list.
-
THE SKY IS EVERYWHERE by Jandy Nelson: The summary of this book already makes my heart beat faster. I´ve read great reviews about it and I´m ready for it 😀
-
IF I STAY by Gayle Forman: The summary also got me – it sounds intriguing and full of emotions.
-
SHUTOUT by Kody Keplinger: I enjoyed the DUFF and many say this one is even better so…I need to get around to read it!
-
THIS LULLABY by Sarah Dessen: I never read any books by Sarah Dessen – I love contemporary romance and I even started writing one so I think it´s about time!
My TBR list on Goodreads holds more than 100 books and there are A LOT of new releases I’m also looking forward to read but those are 10 books I know I will definitely manage to get my fingertips on during the Spring season 😀
What books are on YOUR list for Spring?
If I Stay was really intriguing, though I was surprised it was more of a novella than a novel. I am also looking forward to Insurgent! Hopefully it will be exciting even though they’re at Amity.
Ahhh, Insurgent topped my list as well! I seriously can’t wait to read it since Divergent was my FAVORITE read of 2011! I also have a copy of The Sky is Everywhere sitting on my shelf that I’m really excited to get started on 🙂
Kim @ The Paper Planes
Okay I absolutely loved If I stay, This Lullaby, Shut Out, The Sky is Everywhere, and Thirteen Reasons Why. You have to read those ones.
The rest of the ones you listed, I’m also dying to read.
My TT/Top Ten Tuesday post is here
Happy Reading!

Insurgent is everywhere! Haha! It’s making me really excited to get to Divergent. Can’t wait! Have fun reading!

Some awesome, awesome books on your list! On the Jellicoe Road is amazing and If I Stay is just incredible as well.
I have a copy of The Sky Is Everywhere, I’ve heard such amazing things about it. Need to get it read soon too 🙂
“If I Stay” is fantastic. “13 Reasons Why is great as well, though something about the story bothered me (and I completely can’t remember what it was).
All of these other books are on my ‘to read’ list as well.
Definitely Insurgent. I want to read Beth Revis’ work too!
Nice list! So many books on it that I have not yet read.
Here’s my
Top Ten Books I’m Looking Forward to This Spring. I would love to have you stop by!
I’ve got Switched by Amanda Hocking, Shatter Me by Tarajeh Mafi, the Thirst series by R.L. Stine, The Dead-Tossed Waves by Carrie Ryan, and Miss Peregine’s House of Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.
I really liked Anna Dressed in Blood. And Insurgent is one of those books I want to get to soon as well. A few others on your list look tempting too.
I have some of the same books as you do on my Spring TBR list, but Insurgent tops the list. Lucky me, it comes out the day before we fly to Scotland, so I’ll have something awesome to read on the 8+ hour flight! 🙂 Great list, Elodie!
P.S. Have you heard of the book My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick? Since we seem to share the same love of YA Romance, I thought you might think it sounds interesting. I believe it comes out in June 😀
Anna Dressed in Blood has been on my list for a while now. Just the title is enough to make me want to read it!
I’m so looking forward to reading Until I Die and I can’t wait until Insurgent comes out, that one is moving right up to the top of my list!

I LOOOVED Anna Dressed In Blood and a lot of your other books are on my tbr piles. 🙂 So many good books to read this spring!
Ooo! Excellent books! I read Across the Universe, loved it, and now A Million Suns is sitting in my TBR pile. Along with The Gallagher Girls #5, and Bitterblue and Insurgent are ordered and hopefully on their way soon. 🙂
Hello, Elodie! I see Jaime’s enticed you to participate in this too! 🙂 It’s a fun meme, and you have an interesting list. I almost put ACROSS THE UNIVERSE on my list, but I could only pick ten!
Yay for JELLICOE! My all-time favorite, as you know. 🙂 I also whole-heartedly endorse THE SKY IS EVERYWHERE, ACROSS THE UNIVERSE, THIS LULLABY, and IF I STAY. All incredible! Happy reading, Elodie!
I just bought a stack of books and rescued another stack from a pile of discarded library books, (they were going to throw them away!). After I get done with Balthazar by Claudia Gray, I’m hoping to finally be in the mood to start Madame Bovary, (its one of those books I know I should read, but haven’t yet). We’ll see. I might get distracted by another YA book!
Great Top Ten! I’ve wanted to read The Sky is Everywhere for a while now. It looks so good 🙂
