What I´m reading

I’m beta reading TWO amazing manuscripts. Did I mention they were AMAZING?
I’m one lucky reader, let me tell you!

What I’m Writing

I’ve received my notes from my editor and am currently incorporating some changes. I’m pretty much excited now about ALL my scenes. I’m not saying they’re easy to polish. Some of them are HARD, but falling in love all over again with your story is priceless.
Here’s a part I shared on Twitter. I love this scene!

What else I´ve been up to

Jogging with the hubby. Helps balancing everything.
Jogging
Enjoying the unofficial beginning of Spring.
Spring
Creating my UNNAMED but YET AWESOME Team. Really, so thankful for the ladies who joined. And yes, I already shared some super duper secret information with them, as well as a very awkward video 😛

What inspires me right now

The amazing ladies who have joined my team already and all the support I keep on receiving during this adventure ❤

My cover. My designer sent me samples which I shared with my team and I think we all agree on THE ONE. It captures the heart of my story so much, it’s amazing. And I love it. And I can’t believe it.

And Christa. Yes, I know Christa is a constant inspiration (despite her not realizing it) but this week, she announced something extra special. I know I´ll be buying a few more copies to donate.

This is what she said:

“I’m going to give all the income I make from Fault Line book sales during Lent to the Voices and Faces Project in order to help fund more testimonial writing workshops for survivors.”

I can’t wait to check all your posts and see what you’ve been up to 🙂

  1. This: “falling in love all over again with your story is priceless.” Yes, yes it is. SO glad you’re there with your story! And yay for Unnamed Team Awesome! I’m off to watch your video now. 🙂

    Have a great week, Elodie!

  2. I’m super jealous about your first signs of spring! We had a snowstorm over the weekend so everything’s covered under a blanket of snow. Again! The snow from the last storm had finally just melted too.

  3. I’m sure the writers of those manuscripts feel very blessed to have you as a Beta Reader, Elodie! 😉 And, yes, falling in love with your story again is so cool. I think that’s what finally convinced me my novel was Beta-ready: while making edits from my First Reader feedback, I got sucked into the story and found myself reading for pleasure!

Oh, look! Flowers! Green stuff on the ground! There *is* such a thing as spring!! 😉

Have a wonderful week, Elodie. 🙂

  4. Christa is so amazing. Her selflessness is such an inspiration. And can I just say… Your cover and upcoming release has me all sorts of excited! I’m so thankful to you for letting me be a small part of the process. What an honor!

  5. Ugh, here is still cold. Too damn cold. I’ve lived on Ohio before, which is supposed to be colder than shoreline CT, but I don’t remember OH being this cold! *shivers* I seriously can’t wait for Spring!

Ah, it’s so exciting to see your own cover! Congrats on it! Can’t wait to see it!

    Have a great week!

  6. yay for beta reading! Glad you got notes back from you editor, what an exciting time! Must be nice to run with your husband, mine is so much taller than me and it makes it impossible for me to keep up with him. Either I’m sprinting to his run or he’s walking to my jog. Have a great week!

  7. Well, you already know what I think about your covers. 🙂 I can’t imagine how exciting this must all be for you. Especially seeing everything coming together like it is. Can I just say I’m super envious of your spring weather and those pretty flowers. I wish! Have a great week, Elodie!

  8. I can’t wait to see the lovely cover of your book! I’m glad that things are coming together for it. Have an awesome week and keep plugging ahead on the editing! 🙂
