What I´m reading

I beta read the first 50 pages of a creepy, awesome manuscript.https://twitter.com/commutinggirl/status/387263112665374720

And…I am super excited to dive into SKY JUMPERS by Peggy Eddleman. Peggy was one of the first bloggers I followed and interacted with and she´s as sweet as the cookies she puts on display.

And her book is AMAZING!  I

What I’m Writing

You know this revision I´ve been talking about? Yep, still on-going and still plowing and powering through. But the good news? I re-read some chapters yesterday and realized it wasn´t half-bad. So there´s that.

What else I´ve been up to

Last weekend, we were visiting family and that´s always fun. Plus look at the cake our cousin baked. YUMMY.
Black forest cake with Gioto candies.

Waking up extra early to jog at least once a week with The Chemical Engineer. 5.36am is when I came back home after 25 minutes of painful but rewarding exercise.

Hubby and I have started watching BREAKING BAD. And WOW!!!

And today I´m off to Geneva for work…

What inspires me right now

So many things. But in a nutshell, my writer friends: their good news, their dedication, their happy moments.

  1. I love the cover on SKY JUMPERS! I happened to see it the other day and thought it looked like a fun read. Rebecca’s cover is super cute too. Have a good trip to Geneva, and I hope the revisions go really well this week!

  2. That cake! German chocolate cake is one of my favorites (okay, let’s face it–pretty much all cake is a favorite).
Thanks for sharing in my news this week! And good luck with the revisions–you can do it!

  3. Omg, look at that cake!!! It look soooooo yummy!
    Waking up a 5am – you’re nuts! lol
Geneva, eihn … I’m jealous you get to go all of these places with a quick train ride 😉

  4. It looks like a lot of us are thick into revisions right now. I’m hoping to get mine done before November so I can try NaNoWriMo this year.
And no Jennifer, you’re not the only one who hasn’t watched Breaking Bad. My hubs tried it a couple of times but didn’t get into it and it’s not my thing so we’ll be the only two left on the planet who haven’t seen it! 🙂

  5. Off for work again? Yikes. Well, I hope you enjoy Geneva, Elodie. Have you ever been before? And just for the record, I’m really enjoying your pages! I’m trying to squeeze them in between packing boxes, but it’s totally worth it. I hope to have them back to you pronto. 🙂

That cake looks really yummy! Especially the candies on it. I’m so proud of you for going jogging with the hubby. It’s a regular reminder that I need to get up off my butt and follow suit. Have a wonderful week, Elodie. And enjoy Geneva! 😀

  6. Aww, thanks for mentioning my fall goals… Here’s hoping I can meet them! I’ve been inspired by both Christa and Rebecca this week as well, and I’m always inspired by your beautiful pictures and positive attitude. Best of luck as you chip away at your revisions… You’re going to rock it, lady!

  7. Now I really want some cake lol. Its always a good feeling when you look at your work and see that its not bad. I love it when that happens! I’m revising too and likely will be for the rest of my life, or so it feels 🙂

  8. Wow that cake looks amazing! I’ve been hearing a lot about Breaking Bad lately and it’s making me wonder if I should add it to my list. Good luck with revisions!

  9. Wow, that is one impressive looking cake! Quite the work of art!

Hope the revisions continue to move forward. They can be tricky things to get through.

Have a great time in Geneva (as one ever can when one is working :P) and have a wonderful week!

  10. So glad you’re watching Breaking Bad! SUCH a great show. Enjoy!

Good luck with your revisions this week! It’s always a nice feeling to realize something you wrote isn’t terrible after all. 🙂

I also loved the cover reveals this week.

  11. Woo! Glad the revisions are going along. (I’ve been living in a cave for a month or two–is this still the pageant/serial killer MS? That sounded amazing.) And you are seriously my hero for managing to RUN before work–I can barely drag myself out of bed! Go you!

  12. What a great post! I love that you talk about what you’re reading. I can imagine that the writers LOVE it when they see those tweets. 🙂

And that cake!! ZOMG. Looks amazing and delicious. Good thing you’re running before dawn, it definitely means you earned some of that cake! 🙂

    Have a great week!

  13. Ooo… Peggy’s book cover looks really cool. I bet she was pleased with that–I would be! And I hear you on your revising experience. That’s happened to me a couple of times as I edit–re-reading and realizing it’s actually not that bad after all! 🙂

Have a wonderful week, Elodie! How could you not with that gateau?! Mmmmmm!!!!
