As you know I was in Hamburg two weeks ago…time flies…And it was the perfect opportunity to take a bunch of pictures.
Here’s a selection.
Hope you’re having a great Monday! How was your weekend?
Hello! First of all, let me tell you : “I missed you!” and I missed writing. I haven’t written/revised in a week and my fingers itch to get this story in shape.
From Monday through Friday, I lived out of my suitcase and was very busy work-wise. Here’s my week in pictures…
How was your week?Â
Falls isn´t officially here yet, but Fall is definitely in the air…
The decorations are out.
The weather is changing slowly…
I had a really wonderful weekend. On Friday evening, we went to a wine festival that´s tucked in the park right by our place. The food was delicious, the smells yummy and the wine delicious.
I revised a bit on Saturday…
My hubby participated in his first 10k race today. It was a lot of fun and I got to take lots of pictures…
We went to “our” restaurant to celebrate, the one where the owner–who is an older lady–knows us and stops by our table to chat a bit.
I am thankful and happy.
How was your weekend?
I love taking pictures…capturing the light, a moment, seeing something through the lens and trying to render it… I also find it relaxing.
My husband, knowing this, got me another lens to play with for my birthday (thank you wonderful hubby!)
Here are a few I took over the weekend…
Do you enjoy taking pictures? What other creative activities do you enjoy?
The Chemical Engineer and I had a wonderful time in the South of France and in Tuscany, saw gorgeous cities, relaxed, enjoyed a few drinks, a day on the beach, laughed…
And I used my camera. A lot. Here is a selection of pictures.
Hope you´re all doing well and enjoying the Summer!
After a week full of discoveries, I´m back in Germany.
During this trip to Moscow, I learned a lot, ate a lot, laughed a lot, and use my camera. A lot.
Oh, and I stood in front of the Bolshoi Theater, thinking about my manuscript and about my main character whose dream it was to dance there one day.
I´ll share some more of my pictures soon…:D Moscow is really a beautiful and interesting city!
So, tell me, how was your week?
Yay, it´s time for Happy Friday 😀 Looking forward to know what made you smile this week!
Writing:Â I am steadily moving forward, I am almost at 30 000 words and already have the next scenes in my head.
Critiquing: You have no idea how lucky I am to read Jaime´s manuscript. I can´t wait for her to snag a wonderful agent and get this baby published so I can gush about her writing with you (and about hmmm a certain someone in uniform…). Plus, we just got our own theme song now which let´s face it, makes us super cool 🙂
Reading:Â I just started THE NEAR WITCH by Victoria Schwab and I got pulled in with the first sentence: It starts with a crack, a sputter, and a spark.
Randomness: My Mother-In-Law was here this week so we enjoyed some nice family time altogether which included a very fun weekend. Oh and I also tried another yummy dessert from Katy´s deliciousness pinterest board aka Banana Caramel Cream from Glorious Treats.Â
So, tell me, what made you smile this week?
During our road trip, I took about 1600 pictures. Yep. 1600. I didn´t think anybody (except me and maybe the hubby) would go through that many pictures so here is a selection of my favorite honeymoon pictures (only 42 :D)
So, tell me, where did you go (or would like to go to) for your honeymoon?
Our honeymoon/road trip included something my hubby really wanted: A convertible Mustang…and gosh he had a very hard time saying goodbye to the car as we dropped it off in NYC. We saw so many beautiful things in this car…
Hmm for some reason, I don´t have any pictures of my hair after a ride with the top down…but let me tell you: it was WILD 😀
So tell me, if you could drive anything during  a road trip, what would it be?Â
Food. I love it. All types of food. Really. And Chemical Engineer feels the same way. So on our road trip/honeymoon, we knew there would be lots of eating and lots of different type of food (homemade by our dear friends, fast food on the road and restaurants in the towns we stayed at…).
And…we were not disappointed 😀
My favorite fast food restaurant was WAFFLE HOUSE.
I miss it here in Germany, really, their Texas Melt is just too yummy 😀
When it comes to restaurants, well while we loved all restaurants we went to, Delmenico´s in NYC stood out. This steakhouse had everything: a NYC history (it´s considered a “classic”), an interesting atmosphere (including some people celebrating a birthday, students, a basketball player and Wall Street bankers), a funny waiter and great great great food!
So tell me, what is your favorite food while on the road?
