As I´ve mentioned before, I write in the train. In order to really concentrate on my story, I usually listen to music. Once I have my ipod in my ears, I´m in “the zone”.
These days, I always listen at least once to the following song “Life is sweet” by Natalie Merchant. It gives me the chills and I always picture my main character sobbing as I listen to it, but also trying to find hope somewhere, anywhere.
Tell me, which song do you listen to almost daily?
I listen to “Cosmic Love” by Florence + The Machine multiple times a day because I’ve adopted it as the theme song for my WIP.
Great song choice! 🙂
Lately I’ve been hooked on “Carry On” by .fun. Such uplifting lyrics – “When you’re lost and alone, and you’re sinking like a stone, carry on.”

Haha! Like Stephanie, I’m pretty big on “Cosmic Love” by Florence + the Machine, and it’s also on my WiP’s playlist. 🙂 “The Walk” by Imogen Heap is another on the list. “It’s Time” by Imagine Dragons is a recent fave (it’s from THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER movie trailer). Basically, I listen to way too much music and many of them on repeat. 🙂 I should send you my playlist sometime. 😀
Always loved Natalie:-) Happy writing to ya today!
Well the song I have listened to the most on my iTunes is “That Was The Worst Christmas Ever!” by Sufjan Stevens…312 times! For the WIP I just finished it was “Black Velvet” by Alannah Myles or “Wicked Game” by Chris Isaak, but for my new one that I’ve just started thinking about it’s already “Twice” by Little Dragon. I love posts like this 🙂
