Another way to brave the heat? Go for brunch. This morning, the Chemical Engineer, my parents and I went to the Elkridge Furnace Inn (listed on the National Register of Historic Places).We really recommend this place for brunch...they also do bottomless mimosas (we didn't try even though their blushing mimosas and Bloody Mary are really good!) *** My pictures of the delicious food (Crab Cakes Benedict, Chicken Waffles with a twist - provencal herbs, eggs and steak, wild mushroom omelet) didn't give the dishes justice but really that picture of The Chemical Engineer walking the path to the restaurant works too :-) *** The food was truly mouthwatering but the company really makes it even more special. 😊 #brunch #maryland #moments
If you're not sure what to do in the heat around Baltimore, the @baltimoremuseumofart is such a wonderful place to spend hours without even noticing (and it's free!). It was our first time there and definitely won't be our last. #baltimore #art #maryland

A little #MondayMotivation as...the kitchen is a mess, Plato The Dog has been barking for a treat he already got for about 30 minutes, Bobbie Voltaire keeps on climbing where he's not supposed to...I need to record an hour of audio (which will take me 90 minutes), edit 2 hours of audio (which can take me up to 4 hours) and write and take care of the laundry and make dinner. Lunch will be easy thanks to frozen Russian dumplings (hmmm). It's immunotherapy day. And I guess selfie time. Very grateful for my port. Very grateful I'm getting treatment (even though there was a leak in the building/infusion room). Even more grateful for my husband. Let me tell him again before posting that. Because...1. He might not read it. 2. I may have snapped at him this morning before leaving for treatment because for a few minutes I was just very anxious about...everything. 3.
